High desert works

The magnetics of the high desert work.

Every living thing feels animated by an invisible, electrical pulse. Threaded through the kinetic landscape are the magnetic nodes of the Rio Grande Rift.

It is the reasons seekers have journeyed to Taos Pueblo for generations for healing and remembering. And such are the energetics that underpin Of Ancestors & Destiny.

Centered around deep practice, deep restoration, and a traditional Lakota Inipi sweat lodge ceremony, our time together will include:

  • Special Kundalini Yoga for stretching the body, strengthening the nervous system, and deepening the glands.

  • Ancient meditations, mantra, and subtle yogic practices that support ancestral healing, clarity of purpose, and a deeper relationship with your own destiny.

  • One traditional Inipi sweat lodge led by an experienced Lakota ceremony leader.

  • Time wandering the desert, listening deeply, and allowing the practices to settle into the body.

  • Evenings of poetry, candlelight, mantra, and the rare pleasure of an unstructured night.

It is in these states of dwelling that we begin to remember our essential nature, heal, integrate and release the past, and restoring a living link between our finite being and the heart of the universal field.

A good meal, shared in community, is a central part of every retreat with Harmanjot.

Gathering around the table each day cultivates kinship—with one another, with the earth, and with the history and culture of place.

On Of Ancestors & Destiny, all meals are provided. Breakfasts are enjoyed privately in your own casita. Lunch and dinner bring the group back together around a table abundant with vibrant, organic, vegetarian cuisine prepared daily by the retreat private chef.

Expect warming broths, wild greens, seasonal vegetables, delicate grains, regional spices, hand-pressed oils, local jams and honeys, and deeply satisfying meals designed to love and nourish the body.

The ranch, rooms & pricing

Pilgrim of the love

Ultimately, the work of healing, clearing, and integrating our ancestral inheritance is in service of larger, greater journey: that of remembering our unity with the divine.

The yogic teachings remind us that we are always pilgrims journeying toward Consciousness.

As waves belong to the sea, fragrance to camphor, and brilliance to the jewel, so too does the individual belong to the Universal.

The work of yoga is to remember that relationship—to release what holds us, open the heart, and and become a conscious participant in the greater field: that of life and that of love.

That is the invitation of Of Ancestors & Destiny.
